Universities are looking to engage students in visual learning in new ways, and enliven their art museums by investing in new buildings and new programming.  Two major State Universities are working with Walt Crimm to help them reinvent their institutions and create a more engaging environment within and outside the walls.

By working closely with museum leadership as well as University academic leaders, ideas are emerging for new models of museums that support cross-disciplinary visual learning.  Spaces, both traditional and non-traditional are being explored for their impact, to create a more welcoming and accessible museum that erases the traditional art history boundaries with one that is relevant, present and ‘close-up’.

Ideas are now generating form. Stay tuned.
